Mr. Philip Buabeng is a Director of the Leverage Board. He is a Banker, Administrator, Lecturer, Consultant and Lawyer. He is currently a partner of LEX-ECK Legal Consult.

Mr. Buabeng has about 35 years’ experience in the Banking Sector. He is the immediate past Principal of the National Banking College. He has diverse experience ranging from; Director of Studies/Head of Faculty, Branch Manager and Branch Accountant,

He holds an MSc (Financial Laws) from University of Bradford-UK, MBA (Finance) from University of Ghana Business School, Fellow Chartered Institute of Bankers – UK and Ghana.

He obtained Barrister at Law (BL) from the Ghana School of Law, B.A (Hons) Political Science with Sociology from the University of Ghana. 

Mr. Buabeng has a number of awards and commendation to his credit including “Life Time Achievement Awards” for his contribution to the development of banking and banking education in Ghana by the Ghana Banking Awards. 

He also received a written commendation for his six years meritorious service as a Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the chairman of the Commissions Finance and Administrative Committee and Member of the Administrative Hearing Committee among others.

He believes in respect for all, integrity and prudence.
